A bit about me: I support families as a birth and postpartum doula, and bring to my practice knowledge of Ayurvedic Nutrition, Prenatal Yoga, as well as my experience as a Somatic Therapist and Wholistic Chef.
I have found myself deeply inspired by birth and early childhood since my training as a Waldorf Early Childhood Educator, where the birth story is taken into great consideration in the intake process for Kindergarten. Since then my interest has expanded and has led me to pursue training with Pre and Perinatal Attachment Therapy, as a Birth Doula, as an Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula, as a Prenatal Educator, and more recently as a Somatic Therapist.
My journey as a Birth Doula began when I was asked to attend the birth of a second child of a close friend, and from there I joined the Kootenay Doula Group, to be connected to the local community of Doulas. My first child came in 2016 which slowed down my Doula services, and I am now happy to be back in the game and able to offer support to women and families in their journey, be it the first, second, third, or fourth time.
My deepest intention is to meet families where they are at and offer the support they need in service of a positive, empowered birthing and postpartum journey, that is in alignment with their values, desires and vision.
It would be an honour to support you in your journey.
