Hey there!
I’m Mila (she/her), and I’m so glad you’re here! I’m a fertility doula, childbirth educator, birth doula, postpartum doula, and a caring companion for anyone going through miscarriage, loss, or abortion. I started Kootenay Womb Wisdom to walk alongside you on the beautiful journey of conception, pregnancy, birth, and everything that comes after. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming space filled with understanding and support.
My passion for this work really took off during my own pregnancy with my daughter, which led to an unexpected belly birth. That experience sparked a fire in me to help others during these transformative moments in their lives.
I’m all about making sure you feel safe and empowered to make the decisions that are right for you and your family. Your birth experience is uniquely yours, and I’m here to honor your choices with respect and love.
Right now, I’m offering support for families choosing home or hospital births in Kaslo, Balfour, Nelson, Salmo, Fruitvale, Trail, Castlegar, and Winlaw.
I also have sliding scale options and payment plans, plus I rent out Birth Pools and Snoo Smart Sleeper Bassinets. I am also approved under the Doulas for Aboriginal Families Grant Program in BC.
