KDG Mission 

We are committed to supporting, educating and empowering those that seek the reassurances that Doulas hold sacred. As a community group, we value accessibility and visibility around the topics of pregnancy, birth options and the transition from the postpartum period into early childhood parenting. 

As a community of doulas gathering together, we support and mentor each other to better serve ourselves and the space we hold in our community. Whether you are expecting your first child or expanding your family, our network of professionals are here to support you with evidence-based information, emotional guidance, and physical assistance. We believe every person deserves a birthing experience that aligns with their unique needs and desires.

We acknowledge that the land on which we gather is the traditional and unceded territory of the Indigenous peoples of the West Kootenay region, including the Sinixt, Ktunaxa, and Syilx Nations. We recognize and respect their enduring connection to this land, and we honour the knowledge, traditions, and stewardship practices they have passed down through generations.
